About Us

MASS-kobo is the world's smallest professional audio equipment maker. Masanori Masuda, who lives by the creed "If it doesn't exist, build it," handles planning, design, manufacturing and sales himself.

In his early years as a PA engineer, he was not satisfied with the direct boxes most PA companies used, and built his own. When he lent one to a Tokyo recording studio, guitarist Masayoshi Takanaka used it on a session and loved the sound — leading to custom units for the Jungle Jane tour, his major debut.
